    Wouldn't touch without a global ban, as if you signed everyone who would probably be fairly good, u'd end up signing lots and half of them would never play.

    He got a ban for some contract complications whem he was, or his parents were, trying to force a move to AC or Inter Milan. The Croatian FA refused to register him, and so he can't play until the year is up. Can't find a good article with all the details.
