I very much used to be glass half empty.

However, teaching in Thailand taught me the opposite. 60% of their children finish education aged 12. Life goes on for them. They have very little in that country but always appear happy!

In England, we have everything available. Idiots earn a decent wage, have a house etc just through being English.

It taught me your a long time dead, and it has helped me with supporting Ipswich. Sure, things annoy me but what can I really do bar get behind the team!?

Come on you blues. In our best position for years. Our form may not please me, but by and large I'm absolutely loving this season.

Where did you get this statistic?
By Thai Law, a minimum of nine years' school attendance is mandatory for ALL children but they don't start at the age of 3, it's normally 5 or 6, therefore finishing at 14 minimum.

By teaching at a Thai school and being told so by their headteacher/ other people. The children in this particular school finished age 12 after Pratom 6.This is all I can base this on.

How accurate this is I couldn't tell you but the salient point here is we have too much in the UK and appreciate very little.

Good old monkeys everywhere they were a damn nuisance! Must say I hated Bangkok with passion, when they sort the BTS or MRT out it'll be amazing. In your face taxi drivers! Also like the fact they are sorting out the train up to Chiang Mai - man I miss Chiang Mai. Could happily live there.

Are you Thai/ or live in Thailand? They even knew who Ipswich were!

I am from East Dereham (20 miles along the A47 from Norwich). Moved here 5 years ago and never intend going back unless for the inevitable funerals that are going to crop up. Now just outside Udon Thani in the north east (very poor area)

I have seen one Town shirt here (worn by a Thai - perhaps he though it was Chelsea :emoticon-0140-rofl:), and one City shirt (not including mine). I do get quite a lot of Thai guys wanting to talk football when I wear my shirt around the city, and they all know which club it is (distinct colours I guess) but they are all Man U, Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea and more recently Man City.
