Sympathies to all touched by tragedy in Glasgow. Difficult to comprehend people out for a night enjoying a few drinks, and an out of control helicopter can do this to their lives. Had many many great nights drinking in Glasgow over the years so feel a little connection with the area
Plod helicopter crash landed on a pub roof. One confirmed dead, but hospitals saying they have six bodies so far. Hellos fly like bricks when they have a mechanical failure. If you have 1500ft to play with the pilots have one chance of a controlled crash landing. But at less than 1000ft this pilot has two seconds to pick a spot. It was dark the pilot got the thing down onto a flat roof but that collapsed into the pub. Only good news is that the thing didn't explode.
