I ve just read on sky sports news that all 12 SPL clubs have unanimously voted in favour of new Scottish League structure. That therefore means that Rangers will be leaving the Scottish League and starting from the bottom in England I presume? Churh Road could be busy that day??
Id be delighted to see them do it a la Wimbledon by starting again at the bottom. My only gripe is the notion that either them or Septic should for some reason be 'fast-tracked' into the top division when double European cup winners like Forest arent.
If Rangers start at the bottom, North Ferriby wouldn't be for a few years at least, Scarborough & Brid maybe. http://www.nonleague.co.uk/articles/english_pyramid.php
Just out of interest Craig, what are your thoughts on Swansea and Cardiff being in the English leagues?
First off, I thought UEFA/FIFA had told both Celtic and Rangers that the SFA would lose their national team if they allowed clubs to leave for England? Secondly, what about Berwick...?
Wiki; "There wasn't a professional football league in Wales at the time each club was founded, so they decided to join the closest one that was in existence." If they applied today I wouldn't want them in and the same goes for all Scottish teams.
He's talking about a DIRECT route to the Premier League, which he is quite right about. If they were accepted into the English non-league system and started at the bottom in the way Wimbledon did and then earned promotion after promotion culminating in promotion from the Championship do you seriously think they'd be refused entry to the PL? And if so on what grounds? I'd love to see Rangers in the PL in 10 years and Septic continuing to be bored sh1tless winning the Scottish league and no real kudos every year.
I love it how Rangers think that if they come into the English League, they will ease into the PL... Reality of it is, they aren't very ****ing good!
