How do you **** up finances at a Club like Rangers? They've only got to get players good enough for one proper game, most of the rest are against pub teams.
more to the point ITS there long suffering fans who suffer most. the administrator will Loan Out there Best players to get in some loan fee cash and cut the wage bill. If i were NB i would ask about the lad HUSEKLEPP, looks quality and should be cheap, well for now at least.
if pompey get the sympathy vote and dont go bust again, it is a travesty. Portsmouth need to be used as an example to warn all other clubs, including those at the top!!!
genuine hypothetical question, what would happen if Pompey were wound up? if they ceased to be/trade? would the FA step in to ensure they can fulfil their fixtures, would the teams who've played them already have the points taken off? any help?
What a colossal hunk of debris Portsmouth have turned out to be for the last few years. A financial void. It weren't too long ago ITV or BBC (can't remember which) were ****ing themselves into their usual frenzied froth when they got the AC Milan tie in Europe. "Best fans in the country. That daft **** with the hat and no sleeves. ****ing hell, they've got drums and a cowbell. Oh the romance of football, David V Goliath." Well David got greedy and couldn't sustain that ambition. **** 'em. I hate Portsmouth. A boring club, with a boring kit and a boring name ('Portsmouth' it's just the kind of word you couldn't give a **** about.) I bet they still have loadsa people's ticket money from the other week, robbing ****ers. They won the FA Cup and are now paying for it, big time. A lesson to all. It's not as simple as just chucking 'X' amounts of £s at things, it ****s you up. I for one am grateful that we as a club are no longer prone to that kind of naivety and ensure the smooth running of the club over marquee signings. They only pacify the impatient anyway, on a short term basis. Bye bye, good riddance. You earned it.
If they go bust and are wound up then there playing record will be exponged(wipped off) but i think administration to get them to the end of the season. Losing 10 points drops them just above the bottom 3 but they will lose there best and big earners ON LOANS to get them off the wage bill. I hope NB likes the forward HUSEKLEPP, we may get him cheap.
Correct about the fixtures being wiped, but their squad is too small for them to loan people out unless they're also allowed to loan more players (on lower wages) in to replace them. The other result of them ceasing to exist during the season would be that there'd only be 2 sides relegated from the Championship. L1 and below would also relegate one less team so that numbers were restored for next season.
Good to see you taking a measured approach. Also nice to know that the name of my city is boring. How could Portsmouth ever stand up to the starspangled glittery brilliance of Hull? I've got nothing against Hull - never been there, sure its a nice place - but seriously man. The teams named after the city just like your team is. What did you expect them to be called?
I don't think it's about your city, Portsmouth isn't a bad place , but I think the general football fan wonders how Pompey, keep Getting away with all this poor business running. Its been going On For to long, when in the prem a loop hole was found to keep them trading , and suffer a points deduction, and only pay so much of the colossal debt they had. To be honest if Portsmouth fc or city whatever they are called now ,were a dog they would have been put to sleep a long time ago.
I understand the feeling of fans of other clubs towards Portsmouth FC, I dont agree with but I dont begrudge them it, however Party Hull stated "I hate Portsmouth. A boring club, with a boring kit and a boring name ('Portsmouth' it's just the kind of word you couldn't give a **** about.)" The bold part was the bit I was commenting on.
HMRC have just applied to the court to have Rangers immediately placed in administration, so things are out of their hands... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-17026172
