Remembering some of the tackling by African teams in previous and current world cups, I just hope we come back without broken legs
It makes me wonder whether there is anything to prove by these overseas tours by the likes of us, and as you rightly say BRR, perhaps our opposition might prove to be dangerous in more ways than one. The risk of injury comes with any game and what happens to our season if some of the expected high performers get a long term injury and can't play until mid-season? I know his name hasn't been mentioned for a long time now but didn't NM get injured in a pre-season friendly, and look what happened following that incident?
No, he got injured when a barbecue fell on his foot (!?) Or was it a skiing accident ? I just remember the ridiculous challenges made by Honduras against England - different continent I know, but then who can forget Cameroon's tactics in 1990 ? They have their own way of doing things in Africa
I think it was Zaire against Brazil. When the Zaire wall was being lined up, and one of the Zaire players decided to break free from the Wall, and take the free kick for the Brazilians. I would like to say what a rather decent chap to take a free kick for the opposition
