What to the 2nd DIV

 

Dire, disappointing, frustrating and at the mo I'm not optimistic about next season. 9 points off the play offs is down right pathetic considering the squad we have/had!

Oh well now for more of the same watching England under achieve this summer and don't even get me started on the Olympics!

 

Summer of fishing for me Foxes & then go & see the Stone roses here in Germany.

 

Just won myself £50. Had a bet with a sheepshagger that we would finish above them. Was close but we done it in the end

Nigel really isnt happy with the performance. He said we didnt play well enough and lacked discipline

 

oh dear.. how much did you lot spend again to try and "buy" yourself out of this division ? and still couldnt finish above the mighty tigers... oh well, cya next season ! wonder who your manager will be....

NP (who will be still here next season) spent next to FA. It´s now almost the summer transfer window, watch & learn a thing or two my friend. Til next season.

We do have the foundations of a very good team

Schmeichel, Morgan, Bamba, St. Ledger, Konchesky, Marshall, Drinkwater, Danns, King, Dyer, Nugent, Waghorn

We have some good young players coming through aswell

Schlupp, Moore, Hopper and Panayiotou


Nigel will build on this and next season we will have a very good team

 

This is the difference from last summer to the upcoming summer. With the amount of loanees we had playing for us at the end of 10/11 season meant we didn't have enough squad players, hence the number of signings and money spent last summer. Now they have had a season together, plus a couple of additions we have a settled squad.

Just look at Swansea, Norwich, Reading and Southampton. Settled squads that have played together for a period of time with quality additions.

Then take a look at QPR. Signed almost a new 1st XI and are struggling big time.

 

I'd be more than happy if the 4 kids proud mentioned above are used a lot more next season along with keeping Kasper, beckford and mills (yes him), a king inform and build the team from there. Mix in the experience of Nugent and Konchesky and we may just surprise ourselves! Drinky and Marshy look like they'll play a big part next season as well so hopefully we won't need to blow loads of money and get no where again.

 

Think we could do with another winger- Marshall, Drinkwater and Danns are three of a very good midfield for me, Dyer and Gallagher still good options for me (don't really know why everyone's criticising Gallagher, he's still third highest scorer and hasn't missed a single penalty yet). Completely unrelated, and a little picky, but does anyone know why I can't switch the spell check here to non-American English? I don't want to spell criticise with a Z!

I think we will end up with Cameron Stewart by the sounds of things giving us Marshall, Dyer and Stewart and maybe even Gallagher if he stays
