this season has been painful, i stopped watching around half way through... rodgers was never the right manager for us in the long run, he has not got the experience to manage a team like ours and lfc can not afford to let him mess up. we barely got out of the sh1te with hicks and gillet but even they would have sacked rodgers by now. i believe it is make or break for fsg now if they stick with rodgers it will have huge implications for the the football club, we wont attract any top players because who in their right mind would want to play for rodgers after this season. klopp should be our top and no1 target at least his name has some pull especially with german players. imagine what type of team klopp could have built with the 220 million rodgers was given..think about it. im probs just ranting just so disappointed how we finished and how one of our best players for a decade had to leave on such sh1tty circumstances...he deserved better.
hicks and gillete would not have sacked rodgers for the simple fact he can be blamed for everything and they could carry on being ****s and just blame him for it all, what worries me is will our current owners be the same. got to be more to it than just the manager, i think brendan has been shafted by our wage structure personally, but we do need an attractive manager to play for from a players perspective (cue silly jokes lol)so maybe they would at least think about what we have to offer rather than laugh at what we will pay compared to who we are trying to compete with. i may be alone, but i hope we just use the europa for youngsters and youngsters only next season and just concentrate getting back in that ****ing top 4!!!
The players don't seem to want to play for Rodgers. Whether it's the system or the way he wants possession even if we are not going forward I don't know. I think he has had his chance, and was probably carried by Suarez and Studge last year so we over achieved. Who do we get instead Klopp ? Allardyce ? Benitez ? Don't know who else is available. We need a manager who is experienced either in the Prem or in a top league abroad who has won something. This summer transfers will be massively important to the club...do we want to leave it to Rodgers bearing in mind the dross he bought last year?
Who says they have to be out of contract? Ideally they would as you don't have to pay compensation but plenty of good managers out there that we could approach. In an ideal world, Klopp or Ancelotti, being out of contract would be ideal. But there are others in Spain (Sevilla manager gets a few mentions, especially from Jimmy I think) who are doing a good job.
You wont get Amcelotti but there are plenty of top managers... Klopp De Boer Emery is a possibility Hiddink although this would be short term considering his age Blanc But for me, apart from Klopp, one manager stands out above all others as exactly what Liverpool need. MARCELO BIELSA. Top top manager imo.
Dont wantto bedisrespetcful to BR but thought this was an interesting picture to post from preseason friendly please log in to view this image He also stayed behind, did the tour and chatted with ex legends apparently
there are a few o nthere who think they are better than they are. Klopp has done a great job at dortmund but De boer is a dangerous character.... he'll tout for it but he will go anywhere to further himself.
I wouldnt disagree with that. Here's one who I think is the opposite...ppl think he's worse than what he actually is - AVB
Well I have never seen us get done like that before. There is the odd game once in a while that we get well beaten - but today was just pathetic. It was like when you play on a computer game against a level below you and its too easy. I don't really know what to say. It was just painful.
I can't believe we got tonked so badly in his last game. That is painful. Thank good he pulled one out the hat and didn't get ripped to pieces by the many wums out there. I cant think of too many worse results than this.
Total disgrace lad, thread title says it all, just tear this page out of the history books and burn it and try to forget what's happened (but hopefully those in charge learn from it)
We never ****ing learn do we? Such a fantastic career could not have ended worse really. Beaten at home convincingly and then smashed in his last game. Quite upsetting really. Those ****ers have massively let him down and its unforgivable. I feel like I've let him down somehow. He didn't leave for the glory and now he leaves under this cloud of utter incompetence. I don't even want to see or hear from Rodgers for a couple of months.
the club needs a lift getting in a competent manager ala klopp will do the trick...fsg will hopefully bite the bullet and sack brendan in the next few days so at least we got that to look forward to...however if brendan manages a miracle of epic proportions and keeps his job i expect him to buy dross and push us even further back.
Thing is you're happy where your club finished because its a great achievement, we expect more from our employees/custodians but from the boardroom down to the first team squad there's too much dross and amateurism.
Again, stop being horrible. Its a tough time for them. Raising their hopes like some sort of super wum. Harsh treble, really harsh.
