Taking our most recent form into consideration, ........
I predict we will excel our own expectations next Saturday......

    I reckon we could be 2 - 0 down by 2.55pm !!! :emoticon-0113-sleep

I reckon you need some happy pills, being a Sunderland fan I will continue with us winning until they prove me wrong. 3-1 to us on Saturday, goals from Bendy (2), Ji (1)

Bruce must know his neck is on the line. Surely he has to now go into this game with two strikers?

Please Steve, otherwise it might just be curtains and we will be in the bottom 3.

Even one striker would be an improvement on the team that started against Arsenal!

With Larsson out I cant see the creativity anywhere else in the team. We also lose our best/only attacking option from set pieces.

Will he (Bruce) play 2 up front? Dont be stupid. That would mean he admits he has been wrong all season and the arrogant fat twat wont do that.

Will we beat Bolton. Sadly, I think not and I am happy to be labelled misery and whatever for that belief.

Will we get a point? If Bolton are as abject as they have been maybe but if they playas they did at Wigan on Saturday no.

I too think we will be at least 1 down by 2.55 as well (if not earlier) and then struggle like **** for the rest of the game to get back into the game.

I dont see it getting any better v Villa a week later either btw as they are having a very steady season and we are not. They also have 3 or 4 strikers of which they play 2 of during games. Agbonlahor and Bent will start against us and at least one of them will score.

Larsson's a big loss. He's one of those players who can play lousy for 89 minutes and with one opportunity will change the game. We saw that plenty of times with Bent and we all know the value of it. I'm less optimistic about the Bolton game without Seb. I agree with Cest that the Villa game will be very, very difficult to get anything from. They lost for the first time this season on Saturday (at Eastlands).

If we don't get anything this Saturday, it's hard to see any points for the rest of October - anyone fancy a win at Old Trafford like?

I'd like to see us play Nosworthy and Turner upfront. Atleast I'd feel asthough we had a punchers chance of winning! :)

If we pick up a point against Bolton and Villa then are beaten off Man U we will have 8 points from 11 games.

If we beat Wigan at home and draw to Wolves away we will have 12 points from 13 games and still on target for a relegation points total.

We then have Blackburn at home which is winnable, 15 points from 14 games.

Then its away to Spurs, QPR and home to Everton and Man C where we are likely to lose to Spurs and City and pick up a draw from QPR and Everton. 17 points from 18 games. I'm beginning to see a pattern here... An average of 1 point per game played.

All I can see is a relegation battle and that is assuming we only lose 1 out of our next 5 games!

Win 1 draw 3 lose 1 out of next 5... I'd say that is a positive thought based upon what we have seen thus far and it will take us to 12 points from 13 games, on target for about 35 points. Anything less than 6 points in the next 5 games and we are in the crap. Anything more and we have a fighting chance of avoiding relegation.

If Lars is indeed Out, We have Bardo back at LB, .... How bout we play Ricco up front with Bendy, and Sess out right ???

I reckon tactics should be 5-4-1 for the first 10 mins, to save us going 2-0 down, then go 4-4-2 for the remainder.
We should then WIN by 0-2 in my revised opinion.

    Any takers ??

I would like to see the above, I think Ricco is more likely to score than Sess and I think Sess is more creative further back.

Steady down vegas Bruce has got to grasp the 1 up front bit first, let's not get ahead of ourselves. You shouldn't expect big things as we are only Sunderland.

Sod it , why not ?
How about 3-3-4 then ..................Sounds like great tic tacs to me ????
I remember playing pinball, I used to accumulate more points by pinging the ball up front, and then letting it bounce around there for ages until a feature came up !!
