    Hit provided.

Clint and Ale aside, any one in the current squad you see joining this exalted list?

    Great article, Roller.

I'd like to see the Rs sign Morrison permanently; with a fair wind he has the potential to be a fans' flawed favourite for a good few seasons.

Personally that is the opposite of a feel good article. It just reminds me of how poorly educated (in a football sense but also probably in the academic sense) most of our fans are

“Rodney Marsh, Stan Bowles, Simon Stainrod, John Byrne and Roy Wegerle among our all-time heroes and we will always be on the lookout for the next maverick to get our pulses racing and our expectations soaring”.

The last of those players you listed to actually play a game for the club was Roy Wegerle in 1992. That proves what a load of **** it is to say QPR fans like a ‘maverick’ or a skilful, talented player.

Most Rangers fans have a pathological addiction to try hard no talent players and that’s actively harmed us in recent years.

Elephant in the room in the list of mavericks. And he played more recently than 1992…

Enjoyed that Roller, Funny you used both Ainsworth and Nelson, Nelson was class for us, but the timing of his leaving will always wrangle with me and maybe a few others who wouldn't or rather couldn't 'sing' his name. Ainsworth wouldn't have left us in need for a manager position, he would have played on no question.

Your right though, different clubs have a different characters and we could do a lot worse.

I just wish the the current owners or their representatives would actually read articles like this to understand the history of our club.
Working class, passionate people with a penchant for good attacking football.

I really enjoyed that article Roller. Well written and some very good points made. I agree with your fine piece but still find it difficult to comprehend how a modern day professional footballer can't at least give 100% for 90+ minutes. That should come as a bare minimum.

It's probably one of the reasons why I don't really adulate many, if any, footballers from recent times. Whether they be QPR personnel or any other club's.

But in any case, all of those you have mentioned get my respect.
