Just depressed myself by reading Ian Newell's post defending James Brent's position regarding PAFC,...... on P@SOTI. To be honest I have no problems with what he has written. The problem is the reaction for and against......mostly against....possibly of course because Newell is the one saying it. The response on ATD is obviously more anti Newell. All unnecessary reading.... and you wish you hadn't started in the first place......."peace in our time"......maybe in the rest of the world...... but never on Argyle websites.
He brings it on himself plym and you just simply cannot tell people all the time what they should think and that it must be the same thoughts as your own. This was part of the reason why I mentioned him with regard to the London meeting he was "invited" to. In what capacity? He is no more than a supporter as you and I. Yet he has wangled his way into the Director's Box and talks as if he is "the man". Anyone who disagrees gets the verbals from him and accused of not being a proper fan. Others then join in and kick the body when it's down like a little pack. People on pasoti are sick and tired of him and his cronnies who want to stiffle any other thoughts people might have. It's pathetic but you will notice if you read it all that the worms are turning and people are not prepared to allow him to get away with it unchallenged anymore. People who pay out good money are entitled to question Brent and anyone else if they choose to. Most of us blindly went along with owners previously and look where that got us when it all came flushing out. People are not prepared to blindly trust Brent just because he sounds like a gentleman and talks a good talk. The problem with Newell is he just can't keep off the internet boards and he cannot resist bullying people. He is one person Brent should rid himself of if he wants some credibility. ATD is just ATD and they can't help themselves.
Hell no, much less because he was the only one willing & able to buy the club at any price and thereby save it from extinction. Assume the worst about everyone I say.
Well sensible....I guess that's a NO from you. Mr Jameson.......Lee...... I know your close to Ian and Chris and I/we would value your view of what's been said by Newell......the problem really is the person that said it is probably not the right person to have defended James Brent's position ........just adds ammo to those who are getting sick of it all, Newell does seem to be a red rag to a bull to many on ATD.....and lately to many on P@SOTI as well. Regular communications between our owner and the fans seems necessary to scotch rumours.......James Brent did promise us that........please tell me that PASB isn't that communication vehicle.......speak to us Lee your a PASB committee member.
