From the BBC website. I though Bellusci's English was supposed to be non-existant?! Giuseppe Bellusci: Leeds United defender charged with misconduct Leeds United defender Giuseppe Bellusci has been charged with misconduct by the Football Association after allegedly using racist language towards Norwich City striker Cameron Jerome. The pair clashed in the 1-1 draw between the clubs in October. Bellusci, who has made 15 appearances since joining the Elland Road side from Serie B side Catania in the summer, has until 2 January to respond. Leeds have announced that they intend to contest the charge. They said in a statement: "The player has consistently made it clear to the club that he did not use racist language. "The club understands that there is no third party evidence supporting Mr Jerome's allegation. Accordingly, the player will be contesting the charge." Match referee Mark Clattenburg stopped play at the time to discuss Jerome's claims with him and then Leeds head coach Darko Milanic. He gave Bellusci a warning following the incident before booking Jerome for a foul on the Italian moments later. Post-match statements were taken from both players. Leeds owner Massimo Cellino, who is currently appealing against the Football League's decision to disqualify him from owning the club, said at the time that he would 'kick out' any of his players who were found to be racist.
I think the supposed 'insult' was said in Italian. Seems no one else heard it,so could be a case of one syas he said it,t'other denies it. I'm sure the fa will find a sensible soloution!!!!!
Hey'up Este, Tonev up in Scotland was adamant he didn't make a racist slur against a black player, but lost his appeal too; last I heard he was going to take it further. There was no evidence apparently to support the black players claims, but Tonev still got found guilty...........how is beyond belief. I hope Cellinos lawyers do their stuff and he's found not guilty.
LL!I heard that aswell, the fa will be seen to be ultra pc, So expect a long ban. Think this is the 3 rd time jerome has claimed this, maybe he should get on with playing football and man up a bit.
I'm willing to bet Jerome has watched the film Django and listens to black rap. How it took the FA 2 months to investigate the alleged claim, and come up with the charge when there's no evidence to support Jeromes claim is under suspicion itself. Based on the body language from Jerome, he had his head in Bellusci's face, only when he saw Silvestri running over and the ref got there did he make his claim. I don't believe Bellusci said anything. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bgu_jMekRn0
Surely if he gets a ban for this all black players are gonna be accusing everyone. Jerome has previous of wrongly accusing player but Bellusci plays for Leeds so expect a lengthy ban
