I think we're so concerned about his goalscoring that we forget his other contributions. He has already made 3 very nifty assists that I don't see many other CF's being able to manage. His vision and the weight he gets on his passes is top drawer. Even RVP would have struggled to make those assists. So I don't really care if he hasn't scored in the league yet, we should all be able to see he's got what it takes.

The goal against Coventry was well taken and the penalty was unlucky. What I like about this guy is his determination. You can see it in his face that he wants it so much. TBH, I already think his contribution is good enough (7 games (not all 90m) with 1 goal and 3 assists), but if he's that determined to improve, I'm sure he'll get even better.

I agree, it is far too early to make any comparisons with others and I feel that he is getting into gear - just a matter of time now.

His link up play has been erratic though, i know he has assists, but his overall play has been all over the place.

Off topic a second, is anyone else being logged out repeatedly? i have to sign in every 20 minutes or so.

What worries me is he rarely gets the chance to score, because he rarely gets the ball. Gervinho is an awful finisher but at least he is always on the ball. Some fans praise Giroud movement, but somehow it is often away from the ball. I am not quite sure why it happens, but atm it is the most worrying aspect of his game to me. He will not start scoring regularly unless he is fed the ball if not all the time, like RVP was, but at least more often than now. But he need to find himself in the right positions.
