'Tis official and on Arsenal.com. Best of luck to him and well done to the club for sorting it out early (oh, and thanks to France for getting knocked out early...).

Montpellier saying nice things about him on their site wishing him "much success and happiness in his new adventure and praise him for his sporting and human qualities".

    Aaaaaah.

Does he have a squad number yet? Or are they waiting to shift Park etc. before he's awarded one?
    Will he take the No.9??

The top scorer in France's league, that's not too shabby at all.

Wooohoooo we have a new player to go with our other new player, Podolski! I can't believe we're doing our business so quickly now, there must be change in the air. I'm looking forward to seeing him playing CF.

Said on twatter that he's requested our no. 9 shirt. Whether he gets it or not is another matter. PS mods, feel free to delete/merge my other thread.

So was Cisse once upon a time. Must say though, well done to Arsenal for getting some signings in. Giroud is a bigger lad and something you don't have, he should suit the league well I would imagine. A very good signing I think, quite impressive.

Great, another player signed before pre-season starts. We have learnt our lesson from last season. <ok>

Just M'Vila then good to go, although wouldn't mind another central defender after Squillaci leaves.

This is what I am talking about. Learning lessons. Now as has been said, lets get M'Villa and win the 2012 Barclays Premiership :)

The further we go in competitions the more games we play ...... a bit of rotation and covering for knocks received will be great.

Rvp cannot now blame a lack of ambition especially If we get M'vila

Very true. I can understand if he left had we not bought anyone of any quality, but we've bought 2 top players. If we get M'Villa then he must stay....

Taking away our sh!t start last season we didn't do too badly in the end. If we can get M'Villa or another DM this releases Wilshere to play a more attacking role for us. I want to see Arteta, M'Villa and Wilshere as a midfield 3, M'Villa has the quality to play accurate 50 yd passes so we could vary the play quite substantially and his forward passing is crisp.

In my eyes it wouldn't really matter who plays up front, RVP, Giroud or Pod, we would have a solid team !!
