He's had 8 appearances, 4 of which were off the bench from 60+ minutes, and has scored 1 and assisted 2/4 (depending on how you count assists). Quite honestly, considering the minutes he's played, this isn't too bad a return IMO, especially when you consider the contributions he makes in the build up and the runs he makes (creating space for others, case in point the podolski goal). Yes he's missed 3 good chances which would have gained us an extra 4 points, but he's still adapting and I'm sure he will show us some good form later on.
His movement is good, no-one can argue against that, though i still fail to see the point in a striker who cannot finish/score. He was good tonight, hopefully he'll be excellent against West Ham.
I've been quietly impressed with him so far. He just needs to start scoring, he got one against Coventry and I'm sure more will come. He is creating the spaces and chances for himself and he links up well with the players around him. He also got another assist tonight
He's not done badly at all...in fact I think he has been excellent. Movement and assists have all been great....just needs the confidence from a few goals
Not for me to judge him but he doesn't look anything special so far. That said his movement is good or appears to be. Problem is when you sign a player for double figures and they don't produce in their first 2/3 games everybody becomes a critic. Just needs a bit of confidence, the misses v Sunderland, Liverpool and Chelsea can't have helped though
