In an attempt to post a thread that doesn't mention Rodgers or Liverpool and is actually about the Swans for a change (no offence) I know we were 'linked' with signing Giovani Dos Santos on loan earlier this year but nothing seems to have come of it so far. Looks a very useful player to me having just watched him score for Mexico against Senegal. Can use both feet, finds space, has very quick feet and can finish. Frustrated at Tottenham under Redknapp but may want to stay put to fight for a place under the new manager, and as he loves the high life by all accounts he may not want to sample the delights of Wind Street. Commentators on the game said something like "He's a really talented player but needs a home where he can get some games and Spurs may not be it". He would provide serious competition for DG imo and is completely opposite in the sense that he's of the 'small and nippy' variety. Anyone else think he'd be worth a shot if player and teams can make it happen?
I enthused about him after the Wales/Mexico game in the U.S.A. He looked really sharp. At that time there was some paper talk that he might be available, but like many other instances,it came to nothing. I liked the look of him.
I'm all for adding more flair and fire power. Anything to push existing players to new heights or to get the job done. He impressed me when I saw him against Wales.
He'd be perfect for us, can play in all 4 front positions, well versed in possession football.... wonder if his wages are a problem, perhaps he has much bigger clubs interested
