Rob Snoddgrass. After his last couple of displays I firmly believe this will happen.CH needs to sort out sooner rather than later. Drop him for Pilks, and ease him back in.Mark my words, any more poor displays and the crowd will go for him.
I thought this thread was going to be lauding our new, makeshift striker, Michael Turner. Tell you what, if Ciaran Clark hadn't got that late deflection, the 'new Doc' would have gotten us an equaliser at the death
It's hard for me to read all these people turning on Snodgrass for simply wanting to score a goal and influence the game. His crossing was poor yesterday but when he had the ball at his feet and was taking on defenders he looked in top form yesterday. Nobody is even acknowledging that though because they don't want to accept that Snodgrass wasn't so bad yesterday, they want to slate him and blame him for the loss because they are still obsessed and jealous of Paul Lambert.
If Snodgrass becomes a scapegoat, he has done a lot to bring it on himself. Compare Garrido, who hasn't had a good start to the season and has been something of a scapegoat from other people. But a) he is getting no help from 'wunderkind' Redmond b) as far as I know, he doesn't go on Twitter and imply that the fans are at fault for not being supportive enough c) he doesn't try to assume the mantle of team leader and take penalties instead of the designated penalty taker.
Poor old Snodders, from hero (runner up in last year's POTS awards) to zero (self appointed penalty king - or should that read 'queen'?)
Sorry but when did Snodgrass imply is was the fan's fault we lost? He said that anyone who questions his commitment to the team's cause and desire to win is wrong and I simply cannot argue with that.
Im not criticizing Snoddy even though i dont think he was that good yesterday.Im just pointing out that the crowd at CR like to blame someone and i think Snoddy will be the one to get it.
Yes. Except so to will Turner and Hughton. It is odd really, because I fear that Redmond is fast becoming the new Hoolahan - as in he is untouchable and if the manager dare sub him then he will feel the wrath of the ground. Just because when these players are playing well they can unlock a defence, if they are not at it they are far worse for the team then another player on an off day, yet Hughton is supposed to leave them on just because they might create something despite showing no signs in the first 70 mins?
I've been quite an outspoken critic in Snodgrass's case this season so far, he certainly has the ability but his been sloppy of late he needs to sit on the side lines for a bit, his not at fault for our current poor form but his one of the components. Let's look at it this way it's in the best interests of the team to have players who are performing week in week out, if their not then there needs to be changes, in no way is it assassinating a players character it's just looking out for the club as a whole.
Bang on cue Garrido just retweeted this: "Get NCFC fans to support their team! Retweet. No more boo's!" So I'd suggest he does think NCFC fans are not being supportive enough and I guess that means he has also just brought it upon himself? Sorry VC, I keep quoting your posts today but its nothing personal!
