1-0 after 5 mins. Deft free kick put into the box by Tommy O'Connor, flicked on by Robbie Cundy and smashed in by Jack Tucker! Jordan Graham potentially injured in the lead up to that goal but we have the lead currently.
Olly Lee hit the post on ten mins after a nice turn on the edge of the box. Ipswich hit the post on 28mins after an audacious over the head bicycle kick from Tottenham loanee Troy Parrott. Gills been better side for the first half an hour but last five Ipswich starting it show a bit more attacking intent.
Half time Gills went in 1-0 up. Fifteen mins into second half and not much to report, a lot more of the second half has gone backwards and forwards between both teams. Bit more physical this half.
Gills 3-1 up, sorry there has been some excitement. Gills literally scored as I was typing 2-1 up. Poor goal to concede from us that made it 1-1, Bonham and O'Connor both at fault but the work from Kyle Dempsey for the second goal was fantastic. Excellent counter attack coming from Dempsey winning the ball, great 1-2 with Graham saw Dempsey work hard to get down the right by-line, good low goal across into the box for Oliver to smash home at the left corner. Third goal best of the lot in terms of quality that came from a mix up thanks to former Gills keeper Tomas Holy. Couple of pot shots from outside of the box at Holy who was far from goal bounced back to the touchline, won back by us to Oliver on the left hand side who manages to curl the ball into the far right hand corner. Bradley Dack against Sheffield United vibes with that goal. Great stuff.
