Gillingham are joint league leaders with MK Dons and Swindon, unfortunately that is only for home matches.

Away from home we are 24th just beating Crewe into last place on goal difference, Crewe conceding 6 with us conceding 9.

This sort of thing is why I give little credence to "stats". It is a ultimately pointless fact, as only total points count at the end of the day not where the points are won.

I would say they are very relevant facts, if we know where it's going wrong it makes it easier to find a solution.

Just to add to the above facts our home defence is ranked joint 2nd in the league, away defence in last place on 24th.

the above stats seem to suggest we change our defensive style away from home and it isn't working.

We also have a green thing with white painted lines at Priestfield where it's going very right, maybe if Coventry can get away with playing only away games for a year, we could apply to play all home games. <whistle>

You see I don't think we have been setting the world alight at home either... we have played two teams which look like relegation fodder and scrapped a draw against Swindon, so the stats are hiding the poor performances in my opinion. I am a strong believer in the saying "there are three falsehoods; lies, damn lies and statistics"
