Well finally two league wins on the trot. So much more excitement, 6 goals in two games. Gills look so much better going forward, no more defensive style trying not to concede goals but actually trying to win. If we do go down which i don t think we will at least we are not bored stiff. Players since Taylor left look so much more effective and show more desire. Players Taylor signed are finally playing well now that he has gone like Hoyte, Mcglashan and Prichard. As well as Dack who has a real spring in his step.
Here's hoping PS's new man/woman does indeed play an attacking style. He did say in that interview (or was it the letter?) that he was looking for a more attack-minded manager. John Marquis is looking better than Millwall fans said eh?
Attacking football is the way forward. Steve Lovell played under Sir Keith Peacock, who was the most attacking Gillingham manager I have ever known, and of course scored loads of goals for the Gills and played in the famous 8-1 and 10-0 wins against Southend and Chesterfield so it is no surprise to me we are playing much more attacking football now. The last two games at Priestfield have been so enjoyable. I`m just waiting for the 4-2-4 line up aka the Sir Keith teams of the late 80`s to come into force. Cmon Steve go for it, you know you want to!
