I don t ever remember a season where we have changed the starting 11 so much apart from if we had injuries. I think only Nelson, and Lee have started every game so far + a certain Mr Fish who many felt was not good enough. So who would i pick, well here goes Nelson Fish Barrett Davis Jackman Payne Lee Whipdale Allen Weston Kedwell but really have not got a clue same as Mr Allen.
I have changed my opinion on some players this season, Fish for one has been good and I believe we may have a good player in him also I think Martin has got better but still has a bit to go but this would be my team. Nelson Fish Barrett Davies Martin Whelpdale Lee Payne Allen/ Jackman Kedwell Weston Subs Flitney (when back) Essam Frampton Jackman/Allen Dack Strevens Birchall/ Burton That is my team when all players fully fit, I really hope Birchall does play soon but sadly I have feeling he may not be in the plans at the moment which is really annoying as we have waited so long to see him. Evans, Flanagan, Montrose and Miller are the back ups aswell as Birchall or Burton.
I may change my line up again after saturday as i really don t have a clue. The only players that would definetly start are Nelson and Lee, on current form Fish and Weston.
For me the only ones who would be in my team week in week out are Nelson, Lee and Kedwell but on form Weston, Fish and Davies.
I like Lewis Montrose, did when he was at Wycombe before. A far better footballer than we think. I think its his style that puts people off in the same mould as Junior Lewis! Montrose in my team all day long! Next comment will be ''glad you dont actually pick the team''
I actually agree with you mate, there is a player of real class in Montrose and from time to time you see glimpses of it. I think he lacks confidence, in fact much the same as Fish. Tuesday night was a prime example of Fish being too apprehensive, he lacked courage in taking on their fullback and kept looking to lay the ball off even when that meant knocking it back to our own half! The one time right near the end he seemed to pluck up the guts to take him on he skinned him. As for my Team? Nelson Fish Barrett Essam (if back to his best) Martin Whelpdale Lee Payne Jackman Kedwell Weston Subs Forecast Davies Frampton Allen Dack Strevens Birchall Wouldn't even have Burton in the team on what I have seen, he seems genuinely lazy.
Go on then, let's give this a stab. Nelson Fish Davies (based on the last two showings, why not?) Barrett Jackman Whelpdale Lee Payne Weston Kedwell Burton SUBS Forecast/Flitney Flanagan Essam Montrose Allen Dack Strevens Jackman over Martin at LB, Whelpdale and Weston on the wings to at least give us a bit of balance (playing Jackman at RM for the majority of the Middlesborough game was frankly ludicrous) and plenty of decent options on the bench. Shocking to think that leaves out the likes of Frampton, Martin (pfft) and Birchall!
