Can anyone make us a board banner from yesterday's Champions trophy presentation and celebration for consideration by the members? It needs to be a minimum of 1800 in width. Remember the bottom section of the banner will be overlaid by the transparent section. You can also use stitching for the banner. Please try to use personal pictures from the game where possible and I'm sure members would be happy to contribute towards that selection. Although it would be nice if a Gills fan with the know how could help us with this, however, if no one comes forward then I will seek another club fan to create it for us - as I say subject to member acceptance. It normally takes the site owner ages to get banners sorted on request, so if we start now, it can be hopefully all sorted before the start of the new season. Thanks brb
brb In the absence of anything else might I submit a case for the new banner to be the picture on todays O/S showing Barrett, having just received the L2 cup, with the other players either side of him ( looking quite pleased with themselves ) [video]http://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/index.aspx[/video] I would think that the O/S will probably produce a photo gallery to include the above image - ( without the score line bit ! )
I agree that would make a good banner, although not sure about what copyright would be attached to it. I cannot snip the picture with its current overlay and the url will be protected but I will have a look to see what I can do.

Although could be used as a stitch which would avoid stretching the picture. I just need someone to be our banner creator.

Something like the picture above would be good to see in a banner. Although don't want to hack anyone off with any copyright stuff. Also would be nice to have the full version of the picture. I know Hoadie said he took pictures so would be interested to see what he has captured. If something like or similar to the above picture is used then the captured words probably already say it all. Maybe a Gills badge in the top left or right hand corner. It must be a minimum width of 1800 due to stretching of the picture to make it fit. If you can get someone to overlay the transparent board over the top so we could see what it would look like beforehand that would be good. I guess with the site owner we will only get one chance to get the picture right. So ideally I would like to see the banner created then a second view showing what it would look like fitted on the board. Just remember the upload restrictions on the site so you have to consider that as well. This is not an easy task considering all the requirements. Multiple banner versions are fine, so if anyone else has ideas as well, please get creating. Even if you have trouble doing it, I know people that can but I need the pics that meet the requirements. Once it is all done we can then put it to the members to vote it in the favoured choice. thanks
Well if someone has a picture that i can get worked on,then i am more than welcome to try and come up with something good.
I know the Leeds board are also going to request a new banner, so I will give you some examples of what they have done demonstrating also the transparent overlay version. So you get an idea in how careful you have to be about what you create.
