to be told how much they must pay McCammon. I bet its not less than 100k plus costs and they will be a lot as it seems he had a no pay no fee solicitor, and they usually manger to get a lot in costs.

The losing party generally has to pay all the legal fees

I assume if today is pay day (so to speak), we will have to pay up the remainder of his contract at that time. So for example if he was on 2.5k pw multiply that by the number of weeks/months that were remaining on his contract, also was there any 15% deduction from his wages, if so I expect that will have to be paid back.

The biggest issue as I see it is going to be the legal bill, the costs of this are going to be absolutely massive. IF AND A BIG IF McCammon had a no win, no fee lawyer, then the cost will be even higher. I have heard there is something called an uplift in personal injury law of 100% but whether that applies to employment law (maybe 35% on top) I do not know but if it does it will all be extra's on top of the bill.

So that is McCammon's wages, the lawyers fees for both sides plus uplifts for McCammon's lawyers, then any additional compensation for McCammon, injury to feelings, maybe something like £10k - £15k, if it was deemed as aggravated then more. Could we be hit with loss of future earnings?

As you can see it is all mounting up and these amounts would have been uncapped in discrimination but for victimisation I believe the amounts may be capped.

I assume that today is 'sentencing' day - ahead of any appeal date ? - and, of course, let's not forget the FA !
Scally could have a bucket collection to help ! (mind you, I'd probably throw up in it. )

Wow.. looking at the awards I am surprised how "cheap" racial discrimination is compared to the other types...

Those figures in part now appear to be out of date, due to the age of the article. Recent top awards that I have read at a quick google from various sources are...

    Disability - £729,347.
    Sex - £442,366.
    Race - £374,922.
    Age - £144,100.
    Religious - £20,221.

Although there was a recent award of 4.5 million against the NHS, I could not clearly establish why the payout was awarded but it appears it had something to do with bullying of a nurse. There may well be many more examples I have not found in a quick search.
