The Official site has been updated, it looks very good much better than the old tired one. Have a look for yourself http://www.gillinghamfootballclub.com/news/ They are still working on it so you may get on there or you may not, also it may be slow or crash.
Any website that puts Ryan Giggs mug shot or any Premier League player plastered on the front of it, has just lost my support in its new look. Stop all the marketing rubbish and be proud of our club. It's supposed to be our centenary, so how about ensuring the website is more fitting to the occasion? We are a League Two club, we are Gillingham FC, be proud and stop marketing images of something we are not.
Seems to be arriving bit by bit (no pun intended), and not particularly quick or stable for me at the moment. Some links not working yesterday. Have to agree the front page is meaningless to the point of annoying. WTF is our connection with the Premiership?
the picture is there for the carling cup article only if you scroll left or right it changes, dw brb they arent trying to chuck prem football down your throat!!
It's a bit wonky so far. Keep on getting error situations. Videos look much better but there's no message board........ Where have all me friends gone? Not even Rallen for a bit of banter. Roll on the new season. Anyone heard anything about a full-back? centre-back?
Steve347.... Welcome Porthcawl - is it a bit lonely on the Gills fans front ? Will you get to many games - perhaps Bristol & Cheltenham. Shame for you that Hereford got relegated - but don't worry, missing a Hereford game would put you in good company. edit - for brb - still being a smartass - and trying to deflect your displeasure away from Hoadie - you've been a bully to him of late. ps - keep it up
Concerning the board I am sure that they said they were removing that when the site was relaunched, I am sure Brb said that it was going, correct me if I am wrong brb?
It was a bit of a cock up to be honest by the club as I understand it (no surprise there then). When they created a new website, which they decided in its birth to promote Premier League mug shots on the first scroll page (which they have now corrected), it appeared as though they forgot about all their loyal supporters in the process. Hence no message board. I believe Gary is working with the club or site to get another board built but it may take several weeks after the initial launch of the new site. I did let them know we would welcome them until the situation was sorted out. In fact I believe we were the only site that openly offered support in an interim basis. Gary did contact me about creating a temporary board but the problem is to create a temporary one is a lot of work and to build a half decent one like vbulletin I believe you need to purchase a licence.
It's surprising how many Gills now live in South Wales. Get to see the lads at Bristol City in a few weeks, then there are Bristol Rovers, Cheltenham, Oxford. This year we lost Swindon as well as Hereford. May try Exeter or Torquay for a change. Saw the new board just now in its entirety instead of a few flashy bits and it looks very good. Aarrghhh! its gone again. Be lovely when it's finished.
might have to change my signature to that, the blue shirt with the red centenary badge don't quite go together. btw, what's happened to Buckingham Mark, seems to have disappeared along with Tilson
