Tonight will more or less decide if our auto chances are valid or not. If we lose then we will be settling for playoffs hopefully, if we win this game in hand it puts us within 5 points of Burton and the possibility of a penultimate show down. So as a Gills supporter I can only go for a win, any other result will mean auto chances are over for this season. After 3 consecutive 2-1 defeats at the end of February at least the defence has tightened up and we're now unbeaten in last 6 games, but only 10 points to show for it, and the payment for tighter defence has been shortage of goals - only 5 in those 6 games including 3 against Crewe who it could be argued really no longer count. This is the 110th meeting of these two clubs since 1927 we have won 45, Walsall 42 and only 22 draws, so it makes for a win for one of them. Although 6 of those draws have been in the last 7 matches. We through the away fixture away after being 2 nil up We last beat them at home in 2007. We do need to prove ourselves tonight, this is another big 6 pointer We have only conceded 1 goal in 6 games they have shipped 8 in the same time losing the last 2. We have some gig guns back up front, hopefully all fit enough.
