    patchy70 thoughts:
Steve Evans will return to Priestfield as opposition manager for the first time since his departure as Gills boss in January - Will his table topping Stevenage side leave victorious, or can Gills continue their recent signs of improvement and take all 3 points?

    What - no predictions ?.....
Well - I predict that Evans will receive a 'warm' welcome from the Gills fans... and Scally won't be sharing a drink with Evans.

What I'd like to know is - how can Stevenage be smashing the league - when they finished 4th bottom last season ?.... How can Barrow, who finished 3rd from bottom last season, be doing so well this year - as are Carlisle, who finished 5th from bottom last time ?......
.....As for Gills - I thought only 13 home league goals last season was bad enough - the goal against Sutton nearly two weeks ago, (( only our 2nd in 6 games )), was greeted with such relief that I thought we had just won the league !.... How have Gills dropped so far in a few years ? (( it's a rhetorical question - we ALL know the answer. ))

Think i've given my theory on this before mate - Evans is a L2 manager, much like Martin Allen was a L2 manager, neither survived the level above in the latter years.

I specify the latter years for a reason, because the gulf between L1 and Championship is now enormous, and the gap between L1 & L2 is not much better, mainly because of how the National League has evolved and because the NL is restricted to only one auto place per season, creating a bottle neck in the 5th Tier. The NL is a grave yard now of old league clubs many with new investment, while L2 is full of old donkeys, who should no longer be offering rides.

Obviously sometimes I talk utter nonsense, but I'd have a guess that I'm not too far from the truth with the above. Look how Neil Harris is slowly adapting to L2, he's not use to this dross down here, it's harder for the guy that wants to play pretty football, while those around you are teams full of big lumps of players past their sell by date.

If you read all that, I congratulate you.

Scally £20 Million+ Gills fans - less than a Tory Chancellor.

so the thug rears his ugly foul-mouthed head at Preistfield again. And he is top of the league with a side that has only lost 2 games and drawn 1. And scoring twice as many as conceding.
If we are to prove a point that we should be in Div 1 today is the day to start.
I finally get the chance to watch a full match, I hope I am not disapointed. We do have a good record against them and we have hit a very rare purple patch.
I will go with my heart and not my head which sees us defeated 2-0
    But my HEART says 2-1

TMKB 2 v 1 Thug United ( Mandron, Green and Roberts ) Keep the faith UUUUUUTTTTGILLLLLSSSSSSSSSSSSS
