Team News Gillingham have no new injury doubts ahead of their match against Rotherham, the only player who remains out injured is Bradley Dack who could return, Andy Frampton completes the last game of his three match ban after his red card. Charlie Lee is likely to return after illness. Rotherham only have one injury who is Mark Bradley and he is expected to be out for a couple of weeks. Past meetings Gillingham have a good record against Rotherham which is good for us going into this match. Our overall result is 22 wins, 16 draws and 16 defeats. With only 1 defeat in 5 against Rotherham things are good for us but last time we played them at Priestfield it was 0-0. 08 Feb 2011 Gillingham v Rotherham United W 3-1 League Two 25 Apr 2011 Rotherham United v Gillingham W 0-1 League Two 27 Aug 2011 Rotherham United v Gillingham L 3-0 League Two 21 Feb 2012 Gillingham v Rotherham United D 0-0 League Two 08 Dec 2012 Rotherham United v Gillingham W 1-2 League Two However the time before that we won 3-1 so we do have a good record against them. You have to go back to 1988 for our last home defeat against Rotherham where the result ended 0-2 to Rotherham. Current league table Gillingham currently sit top of league two after 41 games with 76 points, they are 6 points clear of second place Port Vale who have 70 points however they have only played 40 games. Rotherham are 6th in the league table after 39 games with 64 points. HOADIEâS View on this match This would be brilliant if we were to win this, not just because of Steve Evans but because it would be a great win and would take us even closer to promotion, I am not sure what will happen, my head is saying we will draw this one like I thought for the Fleetwood game but my heart is saying we can win but I am going with the heart. The score line and scorers Gillingham 3-1 Rotherham I am going to go with even though my head is saying a 1-1 draw. I am going with Kedwell, Burton and Whelpdale for the goals for the gills and Nardiello to get the goal for Rotherham.
Martin says that Rotherham have got players that he wanted, but couldn't afford. Who might those be,as he doesn't say? http://www.kentonline.co.uk/dartford_messenger/sport/2013/april/1/martin_allen.aspx:

I wish I could be laid back about the whole thing but it's just not the way I am. I think we will go with eleven players, one in goal and ten outfield, we will definitely be up for this one and I predict we will try to score more goals than Rotherham, there could be times when we have to defend but these are hopefully few and far between. Overall it will be a close game and I can't see more than 6 goals in it one way or another, 12 yellow cards and 6 red is probably the final outcome. Doctor the pills.

Well dicked off that 'cover it live' is not on........sitting in the 'box' out here enduring the BBC's laboured efforts.........
Wow! The day could hardly have gone better than that. A win next Saturday and we are probably within a point of CHAMPIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Steve - reckon we'll need more than 4 to be sure. Port Vale can still get to 86 points, although they'd have to win all their remaining 5 games to get there, and they would have a better goal difference if they do that.
It is so good with how it went today, the team was brilliant and Evans was happy. His face was a joy to see during the game like he was in pain from this result. Brilliant win and the team were really up for it today. It could not have gone much better than today with the other results as well which means we are nearly up so I believe that we may be up this weekend. I then think that two wins will probably be enough for the title.
Just looked at it and it is near definite that a win will seal promotion because even if teams like Burton win them all they would only make 82 points and that is the same for Rotherham. Cheltenham can only make 80 so that means that 3 is enough as they would need to overturn a massive goal difference to catch us then. This is the maximum that all the other teams can get as it stands. Exeter 78 so they can't even catch us now. Rotherham 82 so a win will mean that they can't really catch us as it would be down to goal difference Burton 82 points so that means the same as Rotherham so a win means that they can't catch us and it is against them two which will mean that we will be up. Cheltenham 80 points, they may be fourth but they are not really a threat to us now. Northampton 83 points, they are third but all we need is 4 points and they are not catching us as they won't be able to overturn the goal difference. Now it is down to us and Port Vale, they most points they can get is 86 points that means that even if they get all the points available to them all we will need is 8 points as they are the only team who have a better goal difference but I doubt they will win them all which is the same for the rest of them up there with us as many play each other so points will be dropped. Funny thing is that Burton play Port Vale and if that is a draw that would brilliant for us. We will win 2 of our last 4 I think, they will be both of the home games, I don't know what we will do away from home though.
Brilliant atmosphere and a brilliant result. Deserved to win by more - Hit the woodwork twice and several other close calls. Only one long distance effort for Nelson to deal with which he did fantastically well. Sad to see Robinson limp off. Hope he's OK.
