How things have changed since April 12th 2014 - A date that will be scarred forever on every travelling Gillingham fan, well maybe if not the date the result in front of 1200 followers that day. If anyone ever asks why I hate Peter Taylor with a vengeance then look no further than that fateful day at Brisbane Road. I made a promise after that day that said man (Taylor) would never ever get my support again.

This was the League One table after that result, with just four games to play;

The above their downfall after losing a play-off final penalty shoot out to Rotherham United some weeks later after thumping us 5-1. And i suppose there is a moral behind all this in that at least under Scally we have not seen our team crash and burn in this dramatic style.

Orient's form during the month of October would have verged on nothing but appalling if it had not been for their result on Saturday, where they managed a 2-2 draw away to third placed Wrexham. So there is a warning there to the Gills team and Steve Lovell, do not underestimate them, afterall this is the FA Cup.

But having said all that, pay back time...

A week ago I came within a few minutes of getting the right score and all the goal scorers correct, Parker then scored a second goal and my points went from millions down to just two, as the team earned three points I will let him off this time.

We have done well against Peterborough, Wigan and Rotherham, all teams that expected to beat us and came out and attacked us, this allowed us space in behind for our forwards. Northampton came to defend and catch us on the counter, it worked for them as we struggled to break them down. I'm guessing the O's will probably employ similar tactics to Northampton, hopefully we learnt from Northampton and can find a way to break them down.
