Hello and welcome to the all new and improved Match day Hub which is now the official place for Gillingham fans, I decided to update this so that you will know where to go and chat before and during the game. This is here to replace the match day thread and the Starting Line up Prediction, this is where you will now be able to post all your team predictions and score updates. You can now just spend your match day in one place if you are not at the game. This is the thread for the upcoming game, I always post this thread before each game so that you can express your views on the corresponding fixture and can talk between each other during the game, You can post your team predictions before the game, you may include the starting 11 plus the subs which you think will be in the team, no points awarded for your predictions it is just for fun, it allows you to start a healthy debate between each other about the team which we will play or what it should be. If you wish you can post updates freely about the game and chat between yourselves, you are also free to talk about other games bizarre or not. This is open to both Gillingham fans and also the opposition After the match I will allow you all to create a summary on this thread and I will also provide extra details on the game if they are required or if I want to point anything out. You can talk about what was good about the game and what could have been better. During the game I will update the score and the team sheets as soon as they are available, also at the end I will add the table to this thread as it stands. This is here permanently so you will not see the Match day thread or the starting line up prediction threads as this is them combined.
Here is my prediction, it is tough with so many missing, not even sure what the team will really be, who will make it in time. Gazza C.Lee Essam Davies Jackman Whelpdale O.Lee Montrose Spiller Miller Oli Subs Hawkes King J.Payne (Not sure, he may make it, don't know much about how he is) Maybe Evans Brown ???? Not sure if Frampton may make the bench, good to fill the bench, but I would like to see him go, but I am sure he has another year which is annoying, I don't think he is strong enough, and he is too slow. I hear that Fish is back in training, I would get rid of him aswell as Evans is better than him, he is not good enough, maybe be kind and loan him out next season. I think Oli will start after the Barnet game, not sure if he will play aswell as we have seen it before from him, would like him to do well, but I doubt it will happen.
If most of the doubtfuls are available then: Gazza Evans Essam King Jackman Whelpdale C.Lee Montrose Spiller Oli Miller Subs: Hawkes J.Payne (not fully fit) Kedwell (not fully fit) O.Lee Davies If not then probably Hoadie's line up.
I now hear that Kedwell has a bit more of a chance of making the team, he is not ruling out anything while he is not promising anything.
Good to hear that Keds maybe in the team. Even if he doesn't play tomorrow then he should be back for the game @ Cheltenham
Its just that it is so early in the game to get a booking. I'm sure Moore and the rest of the Crewe team will now play on that. His style of play, and ability to get goals of late makes him so valuable to the team. If we were to take him off now, who would come on? Spills? Is he fully fit? Anyway, the possession stats make reasonable reading.
I guess I'd leave Lee on. We're already losing him for the next 3 games, there's no point in losing him for the rest of this one. And to be fair to him, having been booked so many times, he still hasn't been sent off...
On the plus side, Oxford Utd are down to 10 men away at Bradford. So the gap may still only be a point come the end of 90 minutes.
But we need to beat teams like Crewe at home if we're going to force our way into the play-offs. We still might, I suppose!
Bradford have taken the lead against Oxford - Pretty much cancels this result out if things stay the same. Shame though, would have been a real opportunity to get into the playoffs today.
