It turned out to be another waste of around 90 minutes of my life (( I wonder when that's happened before ! .)) Yet again, the result of a contest. is decided by an 'official.'.... who has interpreted the rules to suit - to suit what ? -- The rules cannot arbitrarily changed 5 minutes before the end of a match... There was precedence and rules - relating to ALL the 'lapped' cars being allowed to overtake the Safety Car - not just the ones in front of MVS... - who partly 'overtook' Hamilton under the SC period ( another breach of the Rules. ) - and the Safety Car wasn't supposed to 'end' until another lap later, - by which time the race would have reached its' 58 laps. Whether you like the offside rule (( or not as I don't )), you have to play by the rules.. The referee is not permitted to award a 'free' penalty in the last minute - when the opposing side isn't even in your half of the pitch....... ..... farce ! - fiasco and cheating by the (r)effing officials........... again.
The best we can hope for is a draw considering we're could easily be the next album name for Dire Straits. Gillingham 0-2 Crewe Alexandra (Tucker Own Goal, O'Keefe Own Goal).
