This is quite good except Paulo's transfer is wrong http://backpagefootball.com/mad-dog-has-his-day-as-gills-go-up/56887/
Very good read. Difficult to know what you mean by wrong on Paulo's transfer vinney? I was an avid supporter of Gazza and I have made my feelings clear on many occasion in regards to his departure and several others. However, hindsight is a wonderful thing and I am happy to put my hands up and say I have been wrong many a time. The trouble is in my opinion a lot of supporters in the modern era do not apply the same balance to opinion and at times it gets me in trouble. We only have to look at Joe Martin as a prime example in comparison to my views of not so long ago but that is debate. If we all become happy clappy, then there will not be much point in message boards because they would just become stifled with only allowing positive opinion and not negative if people so choose to call it that. So back to Gazza. Stuart Nelson has proved to be a safer pair of hands than the man from Argentina but the departed South American had a charisma about him that was evident from day one of him stepping on the Priestfield turf, that before even making the starting line up. Hessy saw something in him, that I could only feel the presence of and that is this is someone for the 'future'. Now this could be what you mean by wrong and on that aspect I would agree. For some strange reason in life when people come into your aura you just know. Here and now the job is done. Lenny should not see this as a weakness (lol), in the future we will return to these discussions but for now, I'm looking forward to lifting the League Two trophy and can only reap reward on our current man between the sticks.
Yes, the author apparently writes on another site,(not that I knew that) and he's since put on there he realised he had made a mistake, so has obviously corrected it.
What the article did have wrong was the claim that Swindon celebrated victory at Priestfield - to secure promotion ! Yes Swindon did secure promotion on 21st April 2012 - but they lost the game as Gills beat them 3-1
looks like i've had a bit of a shocker on the accuracy front here then. I'll change that bit too, although in my defence it could just be ambiguous if you take victory in the context of going up over the season (clutching at straws a bit, but i did know we beat them) No excuses for the paulo one - when i read it back i was too worried i'd spelt his name wrong and missed the glaring error.
