    First things first.
Barnet were good, they outplayed us all over the pitch running harder, working harder, playing better football.
Our defense cost us the game, apart from the penalty every goal could have been cleared, where was Richards and his no nonsense hoof it up field, Oh! thats right people don't like him, they prefer Gowling to play with the ball in defense and give away 3 goals.
Just like last year (Wycombe) our team didn't show the spirit or fight to complete the job.

Sorry about the result and dropping out of play offs. We were too busy boogying on Saints forum to reply to Hoadie. Hope you get the results you need in rest of season.

I really thought Gowling was going to change, But no he isn't if he wants to leave he might aswell piss off as I don't care, I have always liked Richards more than him and after this I want him back in the team even more.

Well we have just made it even harder for ourselves, We now have to get results at Rotherham and also go to Chesterfield on last day and also get something there and also vitally we need to win at home against Maccelsfield, We are a joke, How can we not go up. We should not be in league 2, We should be in league 1.

must admit i didnt see todays score line coming, but it seems barnet were well up for it,recent managerial changes between the clubs? and portvale losing at home to stockport.Just goes to show nothing concrete in footy, good results for us,but on monday we go to burton, with caution as we could get turned over if over confident

Yeah Burton is the sort of side you have to worry about.

1-0 down then Barcham pulls one back, we were unlucky when Cody or was it Rooney hit the post shortly afterwards, Julian is forced to make several good saves, then it all goes down hill from there!

Gowling the player who I have often defended on here was a nightmare - can't comment on Barnet's first 2 goals, from where I was sitting - however, in the 2nd half for Barnet's 3rd what was Gowling thinking?

McLeod was running rings around us, they were both in the box and I'm thinking stay with him...a cross comes in Gowling moves forward away from McLeod for a ball Gowling was never going to reach, straight over the top of him to McLeod - he had absolute no idea on how to handle their number 23!

Lawrence 2 weeks running now he's giving a pen away in the box.

Total humilation and we were lucky not to go 5-1 down, after they missed another penalty.

Fuller deal with the ball when it's coming back, no good screaming for Julian to collect when he's never going to get to it.

We failed to hold the ball, failed to string passes together on the GROUND.

Pumping everything to Bayo, when he's got 3 players on him is no good, use that to your advantage, get him to draw them in and play around.

    Rant over!

It is amazing how Barnet have such a great striker like McLeod, How did Homer get him, We should have him, I thought as soon as Barnet got him he would do well.
He is too good for Barnet, so I think we should sign him next season defiantly in Barnet go down.

McLeod ripped us to bits today, it was just so humilating to watch.

He ripped our defense to bits, lets try getting a decent back line first and work forward from there, remember we did score 2 goals today. It's no good having strikers if you ship more than you score.

First half Barcham on the left wing was completely unmarked several times, begging for the ball but they kept trying to run in to a brick wall down the right.
Surely with Barcham getting both of our goals, there was a message there to the team?
Either that or no one was capable of perfecting a pass that far over to Barcham!

Yeah when Barcham is great like this he wants a hattrick, well last time he scored I believe he got 2 and today he got 2 and I thought he would get a Hat trick.

Disappointing but not over, I still fancy us to do something at Rotherham as we've been better away than at home of late and Rotherham will have to come and have a go which will suit us as long as we defend better. I have never been a fan of Josh Gowling - nice guy but a player who thinks he's better than he is and it appears he's suckered a good few people into thinking the same way - Richards for me any day as he's a proper, no nonsense defender with no pretensions to be anything else. The real difference today though, was the lack of Keven Maher - he might not be popular but he is a really class act - nothing fancy but he glues the team the team together and gives us unity and cohesion - we'll be a different side on Monday with Kevin and Garry back in the side.
    Finally well played Barch!

Completely agree doobeegills - GET MAHER BACK INTO THE TEAM!

We sorely lacked his discipline today - time after time they were straight onto our back 4 which had no protection. Yep, and get Richards back in. Gowling is far too inconsistent and dodgy.

Not a fan of Richards myself but Gowling was apalling. The amount of bouncing balls there were in our third was embarassing. I feel that the tactics were wrong though. There was no cover for the back 4 because we started with 4 attacking midfielders. Given that Barnet had to attack us I think that Hess was a little naiive there.
