Gillingham 0-1 Millwall

So it was a shame that we lost but it seems we gave up a fight as it was against a very strong Millwall side, we ended the game with many fringe players on the pitch so overall it seems to be a good run out with many players getting a go out there. Very good by the seems with overall performance wise, What did you think about the game and the goal, what did you think of Reggie Lambe and how good were Millwall, competitive wise.

Here is a match report,.

 

Gills were the better side. Midfield was amazing. Kedwell and Oli both looked poor. Defence looked a bit shakey. Lambe didn't look too bad but no where near as good as Rooney. Millwall looked very ordinary.

 

All sounds good still, What did you think about Kedwell as I can't get hold of him or his dad as I am friends with him, was he good.

 

Kedwell looked unfit and made no real impact on the game. Hopefully Hess will now decide to bring in a loan striker as cover.

 

Not surpised too much as he has never played in the football league so it will take him a month or two to get used to the extra fitness needed because in Non league he was one of the best at keeping his stamina high but in the football league that is not enough so time will tell and I hope he does well for us, I will tell him next time I see him to lay off the Burgers and chips as they do not help.

 

What was the total attendance for the game today as I can't find it.

 

hasnt keds been injured or atleast slightly injured recently so prob hasnt been training and wasnt 100% fit. not making excuses just an observation

 

Yeah he does have a bit of an injury as he took a knock to his ankle and has a few problems with it.

 

I think all the lads did well against championship opposition, including Kedwell who was up front on his own in the first half.

Sorry Mighty, If I supported Millwall I would be worried, might just have been a poor day but they didn't look like a championship outfit. (apart from the defense, excellent)

On yesterdays performance I feel confident we can give it a real go this season.

 

This all sounds very positive to me, great to hear.

 

Yep, and important to get the 90th minute goal-conceding out of the way during the pre-season friendlies!
