Both have a reasonable chance of leaving their respective clubs this summer, would we be interested in any of them? Gilardino is an excellent goal scorer (133 goals in 288 club appearances) but may be a bit too similar to RvP for it to work out for him here, but Motta would provide experience, a good attitude and a high work rate if he came. What do you guys think.

Interesting choices. Not sure about Gilardino, but I think Motta would be a great addition. I didn't realise that there had been some initial enquiries about him from Arsenal, I wonder how long ago that was?

I only heard about it today. I reckon he would be a good signing.

Just got caught up with all the footy gossip for today night shifts a bitch!, Wow really? Motta would be a massive plus for us, Im not so sure on Gilardino. Motta played at Barcelona for about 6 years i think, didnt get many games but he is a big physical presence on the field im sure we could use him

Motta was average for us, it was only when he moved to Italian football when he became good, probably wouldn't be able to cut the prem

Can't see Wenger signing either, he is so blinkered.

Motta would bring us something we don't have, particularly for the Champions League (providing we get thru the qualifiers)
