Just saw this on the BBC sport website:

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has confirmed midfielder Ryan Giggs will be offered a new contract.

The 38-year-old, who has scored in every Premier League season, has been on a rolling one-year deal at Old Trafford since the age of 30.

Ferguson said: "We know he can't go on forever, but he can play for another year."

This is fantastic news because Giggs has proved with his performances this season, he has still got some fight left in him and glad to read the club have decided to offer a new contract.

They should give him a 10 year contract. Seriously, he looks like he could play until he's 50.

He's no longer a top player but he's certainly still classed as very good. I doubt Man U would get anyone better for less than £10m and on yearly contracts theres nothing to loose. An amazing player who has adapted throughout his career to maintain his position in one of the best teams in the world <ok>
