Not including local unknowns…

1. The Searchers. Brent house
2. Paul McCartney at the O2.
3. Chris Rea (sorry Chris) Showerings. Music was fine but atmosphere totally flat. Also Bryan Ferry at the O2 and the Kinks at the Colston Hall - both did new stuff and avoided playing their well known hits.
4. Can’t answer this. All more or less the same.
5. Torn between Bryan Adams in Bournemouth (Reckless tour) and Paul McCartney at the O2. Both brilliant.
6. Bryan Adams and Tina Turner (3 times)
7. Paul McCartney. After his flop at Glastonbury - and with him being 80 I wasn’t expecting much but he was absolutely brilliant - with guests Ronnie Wood and Ringo Starr as big bonuses.
8. INXS before Hutchence died.
9. Queen, Bowie, Beatles
10. La Orea de Van Gogh - popular Spanish rock band. Got tickets for June this year in Fuengirola. It’s sold out!

First - Dave Dee, Dozy, Mick and Titch
Last - Crowded House
Worst - Paul Young (voice had gone)

Best - Big Country (when Stuart Adamson was alive - Portsmouth)
Most - Big Country
Suprising - Midge Ure (he's written so many songs)
Happy got to See - Neil Diamond
Wish Could Have Seen - Queen
Next - Erm - Abba Voyage (this is what its come to!!!)

Off at a tangent, in my CD collection I have System 7's 777. Have you ever noticed the similarity between Expansion and Panteras Walk?
Can't say I am familiar with their catalogue but saw them once before with Eat Static and thought they were pretty good and worth another go

1. first - The Damned
2. last- GooGaa Dolls
3. worst - Uk Subs
4. loudest - SLF
5. best - Clash
6. seen most - The Stranglers

3. Primal Scream played liked they really couldn’t be arsed with it all
4. Motorhead big venue small venue its Discharge who sounded like an enormous door slamming in the depths of hell quoting one of their songs!!
5. Skids best for me as it blew me away as a kid
6. Chaos UK
7. Pixies didn’t know who they were and they were brilliant.
8 Killing Joke early eighties
9. Sex Pistols of the 70’s
10. Stiff Little Fingers

:) Surprisingly not, but I can see why you might think so. Grew up around the Glastonbury Festival, and was then a mild punk, liked indie. I then got into dance music which is my go to genre now.

Been a fan of Pop Will Eat Itself a not very good Indie band who got into dance and rap with punk and metal!!

1. Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel @ The Locarno!!

2. ABC @ Bath Forum

3. Angie Bowie @ The Webbington. She was god awful, trying to live off the back of her famous husband!!

4. The Who @ Hammersmith Palais

5. Texas - Sharlene Spiteri was absolutely brilliant, incredible voice.

6. The Who

7. ABC - Martin Fry has still got an awesome voice!

8. Mott with Queen supporting - 29/11/73 - Colston Hall. Saw Queen on Old Grey Whistle Test and thought they were really good.

9. Bowie - had a ticket with a group of mates to see him the day before he announced his Ziggy breakup live on stage. I had an ear infection and couldn’t even stand up let alone walk!!

10. ?

1. first - Slade - Hippodrome, my parents dropped me off, went with some mates, would have been 12 or so, I think.

2. last- Magnum

3. worst - Queen (Hot space tour), Milton Keynes Bowl, more disappointing than the worst. Even Freddie picked up on the fact the crowd were not keen on the new album, and he got a bit pissy.

4. loudest - Elvis Costello - at the New Bristol centre - not ideal for gigs, mixing was awful, so loud it was uncomfortable, ears were buzzing for days afterwards.

5. best - Queen (Various times)

6. seen most - Magnum

7. most surprising - The Wurlzes ( surprised I enjoyed them so much )

8. Happy I got to see - Queen, Clash

9. wish I could have seen - Jimi Hendrix

10. Next - Don’t go anymore - prices are a rip off, refuse to pay them, it’s why I’ve seen Magnum so much, small local band, (Brummies), ticket prices were reasonable, band used to mingle with the audience and have a pint with you.
