Four Premier League managers have been sacked this season, statistically Bruce was the worst during his time at his club

    AVB %47.50 win ratio
    Neil Warnock %39.29
    Mick McCarthy %38.52
    Steve Bruce %29.59

Please stop insinuating that the best fans in the country are prejudiced we are anything but, if you brought the club success it wouldn't matter if you were from mars. However we do like to see our side winning, unfortunately SB didn't give us enough wins especially at home. It's getting embarassing for the lad now.

We're not the best fans in the country either. we're good but to call us the best is daft.

Agree that claims the sacking were unjust is just ridiculous. Hopefully Brucie gets a job so he can talk about something else

Joihn Gibson - the (Newcastle) reporter that 'wrote' the story I assume.

Kimmacat's stats give the true picture and Bruce is deluded if he does not see that his own failure was the main reason for his sacking. True he took some abuse (and I am not condoning personal abuse, especially to his family) but not as much as he might have, given his appalling record in the last 12 months of his time here.

This is starting, IMO, to become a bit of a Bruce bashing, we take the facts, twist them and use them to hit him.

He is asked questions and gives answers, its what happens. He did not say I was sacked because I am a Geordie, he does say when it started going wrong my Geordie roots came to hit me, he is spot on, Fat Geordie Clown, Fat Geordie ****, You big fat Geordie get out of my club.

No doubt I will be told how wrong I am and my words will be twisted to suit but there you go.

I do agree it is becoming embarrassing.

I know when Bruce left he went very quietly, not giving interviews etc for some time after leaving, I dont know what the Chronicle hope to achieve by bringing this all too the fore now, Bruce left weve moved on MoN has come in and improved us with the same squad which is where Bruce failed. It didnt matter one jot too me where he came from he just wasnt getting the results we should of been getting. END OF.

I very much doubt it, he should never have got a job with yourselves. His track record is horrendous. He does buy some good players to be fair, but is that the scouts.

The thing is like, it always struck me that Bruce HIMSELF played up to the fact he was a Geordie while managing you lot; which is just odd. He was a Man U player at a time when we WERE actually a rival to them, and he NEVER once showed the slightest bit of affection for Newcastle during his playing career. It would have been the easiest thing in the world for him to say "Nar, I didn't really follow a team as a kid, I was more focused on my own career. The Tyneside link gets overplayed - Manchester United are my club, so the Sunderland fans don't need to worry about my affections". But nor, not for Billy Big Bollocks, to busy thinking about his song the ****ing goon that he is. He'll have had a plenty big payoff, so I really don't see why any needs to feel sorry him. He's made his bed and is enjoying his lie in. The Twat.

I agree, the media should stop asking him. But he's not exactly covering himself in glory.

His Geordie roots just gave the fans an insult to hurl at him tbh, I don't think it hampered his job which seems to be the generally accepted view in the media.

Like I said hopefully he gets a job and can move on

But had he denied it, he wouldn't have an excuse so he can keep his dignity and get another job.
