They are not - apparently UEFA will "fix it" so that they are not in the same group - surely that's not right????? i do think it's time for a mini pre-qualifying tournament for the likes of San Marino, Luxemburg, Faroes, Andorra etc
good luck to them. they do have a number of players who play for Manchester United (Gibraltar) so sure they will take the world by storm now.
Time for a pre-qualifying group involving the so called minnows which would give them something to go for a win. When are the people at Ashton Vale putting their names forward under the name of the Nimby Nation?
Even EUFA would struggle to swallow that one the pitch is half ex rubbish tip and half marsh plus they don't even have permission to play on it yet if ever.
Have you ever watched a home game from the Faroe Islands? More people on the pitch than the entire population mainly because most of the spectators have vanished beneath the mud.
I have no problem with Gibraltar being in it but the case for pre qualification is pretty strong.- The FA cup is a good example of having a qualifying competition, where the prize for a lot of clubs is just to get to the first round proper- The financial rewards can be there too- A few seasons back, Local club Exeter were on their knees financially and pulled out Man Utd in the cup. Incredibly, they drew 0-0 at old trafford before losing the replay, but the income from TV pretty much saved them as a team. Speaking of cup runs-we are well overdue one!
