Is going to be released by West Brom, he is an attacking full back and could be worth a punt. Yeah he comes from a PL club, but that won't nessecarily bring PL wages. He said in the article below that he just wants to play and is match fit, but Hodgson just hasn't fancied him in the side since they went on that good run earlier in the season. I've seen him play a fair amount; I believe he spent some time at Ipswich earlier in the campaign so would know how the Championship works. Got to be worth a punt, other clubs will go for him, but we might as well give it a shot a back 4 of: Zuiverloon, Ayala, Hobbs or Chester, Dudgeon would be up there as one of the best in the league. Anybody else seen/rate him? http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,12876_6945093,00.html
Would be good cover as he can play anywhere across the back four, although favours full back. Rather him than Chester for RB cover.
Not sure if Rosenior is leaving, but with the fantastic season he has had, it wouldn't surprise me if there was any interest. I do have a couple of sources inside the club, although one of them works in the randomest part of HCAFC (but is scarily accurate). One of them told me that we are after a forgein guy who plays on either wing, he said he had a daft name which was too many letters long to remember(he isn't the sharpest tool in the box). Was also told that we won't make any 'big money' purchases (I assume that's in context) until further into the summer and we will be implementing the 'one player a week on trial' system we had last summer. I was quite gutted Zlatko Hebib didn't get a contract, he looked really useful. Ended up signing for Yverdon-Sport in Switzerland, they finished bottom of the league, but he made 17 appearances and scored once.
Zuiverloon would be a decent signing as a utility player. It'd mean we'd have a player who could cover for both full back positions and centre back.
Zuiverloon would not come to us to be a squad player, he could probably go to any of the teams promoted to the Premier League and be a squad player and probably make their side. He is a good player, someone i think we should be looking to bring in but he is easily going to be on at least 14k+ wages and it depends if we are really willing to let the wage bill rise again after the last time it happened. This all depends on hoping bigger teams than us do not come in for him, which i wouldn't be surprised if they did.
Zuiverloon played some shockers for Ipswich he really doesn't give me confidence that he would be good as a right back. But can't comment on his potential to fill any other position .
