    Former Watford head coach Gianfranco Zola’s return to management has ended less than three months after it started after Cagliari confirmed he has been sacked.
    The 48-year-old only took charge of the Serie A outfit in December but has guided them to just two league wins since, leaving them four points from safety with 12 league games remaining.
    “Cagliari Calcio announces that it has dismissed Gianfranco Zola and his staff from the technical guidance of the first team,” a statement on the club’s website reads.

    Sad for him but I think we all know he's not a great manager, I think he should coach as a number 2, difficult as that may be for him now. Otherwise I'm but sure what's next for him. Lovely bloke but...
