Anybody who knows me at all, should be aware that I'm completely atheist and therefore do not believe in any sort of afterlife, however, on the radio this morning I heard Fabian Delph chatting about ghosts and how he's seen four. Any of you lot think you've seen any form of afterlife? If so, what did you do with it? My mother believes one used to live with her, but she likes the gin so I'm a bit skeptical of anything she says.
Delph said one of the ones he saw was carrying a dead body out onto his balcony. That tells us that either: A) He had a dead body in his house. or B) Ghosts die also. or C) He's on acid
My dad's side are all Spiritualists. I once went to one of their meetings and after the service, where the guy stands up and says he has messages from the other side, it just seemed that people were desperate for any tenuous link with their loved ones. Can't blame them for that, but its just not for me.
The message is always "He just wants to tell you he's ok and for you to stop worrying".... he's not ok, he's dead.
A friend of mine when I was growing up, used to say there was one at the foot of his bed, a stranger, nothing to do with the house or the area, just a stranger who used to sit on the end of his bed and chat to him for hours. At the time, I thought it was cool, now I'm thinking, '***** Ghost'.
Do black people have white ghosts? Never occurred to me that! In which case you'd only see them in a blizzard? Not taking this seriously are we...
We are not, but if I'm truthfully honest, I never expected it to be. I think all ghosts are white, and floaty... like bed sheets. I often wondered, before I stopped believing in such things, if you come back as a ghost, what age do you come back as? Imagine you died aged 45 and your wife died aged 95, you've waited 50 years to see her again, but you're still 45 for eternity, being lumbered with an old bag who you've got to push around everywhere cos she can't walk. **** deal.
But if spirits have no corporeal form they could look like anything. I don't think these religious types have thought things through properly.
So we all end up as flubber, apart from Fabian Delph's ghosts which are human form. This is complex stuff man.

I've read of some the interesting and well documented evidence about people that have undergone Near Death Experiences - usually whilst under surgery - some of the fascinating anecdotal as well as scientific statements that I recall just defy mainstream science. For example 'NDE'er's' tell of seeing their own body being operated on and giving explicit detail of the procedures another example is 'dying patients' describing writing and objects that have been purposely left by doctors out of the patients sight for the sole purpose of investigating out of body experiences. I believe this world we inhabit is not just black or white- science does not have all the answers to esoteric and the obscure - we're limited as humans we do not see the 'full spectrum' of light and substance that we inhabit - do ghost exist? Who honestly can answer this with an unequivocal yes or no ? Unexplainable situations like NDE''s for example allow me to keep an open mind on it all
