The Chairboys head north up the M40 to Warwickshire to take on the Sky Blues at the home of those pesky wasps looking for back to back wins for the first time this season, our record against Cov is not good having won one and lost six of our seven meetings but having drew half our games this season this could be the first draw between the two teams. Having had a full week of training and team bonding Gaz should have the lads up for this one and hopefully the lads will come out full guns blazing and having scored in his last three games we are all hoping Bayo has recovered from the injury that forced him off last weekend. I will be heading to the Ric Oh with Slasher looking forward to a good game against the only team in League One that finished below us last season and hopefully gaining our first result in the Ghost Town
Team News Sido Jombati returns from suspension and Adebayo Akinfenwa is fit despite his knock against Burton, while Darius Charles is also available after declining an international call-up from Grenada. Sam Saunders is back in contention after illness, Adam El-Abd has returned to full training and Marcus Bean is also in the frame, leaving just Nathan Tyson and Anthony Stewart as the slightly longer-term absentees
Stanley finished top of league two Luton 2nd we were 3rd Cov 6th all the rest were in a league or two above us
I have this one down at a loss, so would be happy with a draw or even better a sneaky win. With almost a full squad to pick from bring it on.
F/T 0-1. It could have been worse but Bristol Rovers,Plymouth,Wimbledon,Bradford and Shrewsbury all lost as well but Oxford won.
We were off the pace for most of the game and didn't create very much but could have held out for a draw and Alisop should have snatched a point with the last gasp equaliser I didn't even notice that he had come up for the corner he connected with the ball too well and it sailed over the bar if he had scuffed it we would have had a point
Just seen the highlights on the WWFC website, the Coventry player who crossed for the their goal was allowed to run the whole length of the pitch before crossing & not one Wycombe player attempted a tackle.
I had a bad feeling about the game so i didn't pay to watch so saved myself £10. When will Ainsworth realise hoofball doesn't work in League 1 especially in windy conditions. Coventry played the ball on the ground and but for Allsop we'd have been hammered,if Ainsworth doesn't changed tactics we'll be playing Morecambe and Grimsby next season.
Haven't seen the match mowgli. By hoofball, do you mean lofting it up the field for Bayo? I only ask because the long diagonal ball upfield from defence to the wingers is a very dangerous ball that catches out defences time and again, at any level. See it a lot over here
Feck me we would just settle for a player who could kick a ball at the minute let alone upfield. You at least held out for most of the match whereas we gave in by the 4th minute.
