In relative terms it won't be long before Earthlings are settling on another planet. Every day it seems NASA are discovering more and more of what is out there beyond our insignificant universe. Fascinating. They have now discovered planets that, on first inspection, appear to have a 70-80% chance of being habitable. More on this here
There’s around 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 planets in our observable universe. It’s impossible for us to be the only one with life on it imho We'll never find it tho. Humans will be extinct within 200 years.
The chances of us settling on another planet is very small. We've evolved to live on earth with all it's minerals, chemicals, climate and weather activities etc. The chances of finding another planet similar to our own are almost none. There's a good chance there's life out there but even if we find it the chances of us living on their planet, eating their food etc. is almost nil. What's normal for them will likely prove deadly to us. In saying that, if the earth can support Tina and her brood of mutants then there is a chance that alien life can survive on another planet.
Science fiction. The thought of us terraforming is the stuff of Hollywood movies and not even remotely plausible.
It is quite simple if you aren't just objecting to everything I post because you think I am a c.unt. What do you think it would take to colonize another planet? Why do you think 'we' would even consider it? Where do you think we'd go? Who will be picked to do this? How do you think it will work Professor Toby Hawking?
How did it start on this planet. There were no roads, no cars, no TVs, no Tescos, no armchairs, no houses. Wow, how on earth did we get here?
