Our part of the business lost money last month, we put it down to Christmas/New Years holidays, the weather etc but February wasn't much better in truth!! The boss of the parent company & group is here today along with a HR bird (bet she's a nice tight pussy) so its looking like we're being shut down!!! There's me & another guy on temporary contracts so we'll be the first out the door as the rest have longer term deals they'll probably get a month/3 months notice. Thing is we've just got through to the final stages of getting exclusive work for npower which would be a 3 year contract to do all their debt collection, process analysis & query resolution for Gas, Electric, residential, commercial - the whole lot. Why not wait to hear the final result in that? Might become a male escort to put food on the table

Me looking for work involves asking people I used to work with via facebook if there are any jobs I'm already signed up to some agencies & have had an increase of texts & emails about jobs just after Christmas but its died down since then. They're out of the meeting now & talking here so not sure whats going on now. They seem to be talking about contracts with clients!!

My long term aim has been in to getting in to Energy advisory work - working for companies to save them money from wrong billing, the wrong type of metering so maybe something like this may get me a bit of experience for that. I might just send my CV to all the energy companies.

npower are ****e Frank - thats why I left & spent 6 weeks in Oz......unlucky for me the recession started as I was out there!!! TBF most of the energy companies are **** & will do anything within their power to make more money. Thats why there is so much money in energy advising, all the big retailers pay a fortune for a company to check through their bills & deal with any queries there might be as they want to save as much as possible & the energy companies will try & do you unless your savvy in the industry.

The business is conducting a review of our company over the next week. They've already said they don't give a **** about the work coming in as if its deemed the company will close they'll quite happily turn down the contract!!! Doesn't sound good!
