I got an E-mail from Kempton Park this week to advise that for this year's Christmas extravaganza they're holding a reindeer race. I've been a long term advocate of reindeer racing as the cold snaps we've had in recent years have caused havoc with the horse racing programme. Sometimes it's got so bady that I have had to pay two neighbours to get their dogs to fight just so I can have something to bet on (though you don't get a very good price on a Doberman to beat a poodle). I think that organisers of sporting events and the television companies really do need to get their act together in the cold weather and organise more events involving animals so that we have soemthing to watch when our sports of choice fall victim to the weather. What new events would the esteemed members of this forum most like to see?
