...Celtic had put a message on their website and tweeted asking fans to get to the game early tomorrow - now, I must admit, I thought that this was bluster to get fans in early to re-create the atmosphere for the Barca game. But now, it's on the BBC site with a comment from a hilariously named Match Commander http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-20594451 It also states that there will be 900 Spartak fans - if it's 900, they'll be getting the wee corner of the main stand that Barca and Benfica got.
Strathclyde Police said it expected "considerable congestion around Celtic Park as a result of ongoing road repairs to London Road". Access to the stadium via London Road is limited and there are a some restrictions to pedestrian access. A 60,000 crown is expected at the game, which kicks off on Wednesday at 19:45. Jesus, they really are the Establishment club now, BoE governors and Defence Secretary's as Chairman, now 60,000 monarchs are attending.
Yeah imagine my shame at not attending the game, bloody tickets are so easy to come by as well, and I have the nerve to call myself a fan.
Yes i'll travel up to Glasgow on a freezing cold night on Spec on the off chance I come by a ticket. I'm not a real fan otherwise.
To be fair, I haven't seen any getting punted outside the stadium for any of the CL games - doesn't mean that there aren't any getting sold, right enough. The going rate on Gumtree for tomorrow's game is £100 - and there are loads of reports of folk paying extra prices then receiving hee haw.
Nev makes it sound as if some spiv is hanging about in the shadows with tickets aplenty on his usherettes tray. please log in to view this image
I can't speak for Parkheed but I've ALWAYS, no matter how big the game, seen tickets outside Ibrox. Don't know how much they go for but they're always there without fail
If you wanted a ticket, if you were a real fan, you could get one. You're just paranoid that somecunt will phone up Radio Snyde and pretend to be a sellickman and act like a **** and you won't be able to defend "ra clhuub" because you've went to Glasgow.
There were plenty of tickets outside for Benfica , Barcelona none , Trevor your last ever game in the champions league game against Malmo there have been over 21000 tickets outside
I'm going, got a ticket anaw Arrive in Glasgow at 8.40am tomorrow morning, quite worried about being able to walk straight when it's time to enter the stadium.
A problem significantly reduced if you make your way to the Fiveways at a decent time - pretty much the nearest pub to the ground these days
I'll be there early doors, to sink a few cheeky nerve calming pints in the Kerrydale. Then hopefully be sinking a few cheeky celebratory ones in there after too, before a wee jaint to Failte for some more cheeky pints!
