<peacedove>MONDAY 17th of October Liverpool at home to Manchester United, there are always
goals in this fixtures. I cannot see United sitting back which would be an advantage to Liverpool because of our 12th man. If Liverpool can win they are going to be 6 points clear of Manchester
United. My prediction Liverpool3 :1 Manchester United.

Chelsea V Leicester 3:1 - Leicester may have had the time to work on their defense this past two weeks but they need to prove it if they have. As of now i can't see it.

Arsenal V Swansea 2:0 - cannot see swansea get much out of this.

Bournemouth V Hull 2:1 - going to be a tight one but home advantage shades it for me.

Man City V Everton 2:1 - everton need to win this. if city turn up and play the game they can they should win but can everton do what spurs did? not sure they can, not set up for that game.

Stoke V Sunderland 1-2 - relegation 6 pointer this. I think sunderland need to win badly.

West Brom V Tottenham 0:3 - spurs too good for west brom. the set piece game isn't enough here.

Crystal Palace V West Ham 2:1 - palace the better side IMO. If west ham can turn the defense round ala leicester comment fine but must prove it.

Middlesbrough V Watford - who the **** really cares?

Southampton V Burnley - Southampton to win. 2-1

Liverpool V Man Utd the big one. 4-1. its going to be a rocking first 30 mins and utd will either fold or stand up to it and once that first 30 is over utd will come more into it and get chances. time of game is crucial for LFC. firmino and coutinho to be back.

    PAUL MERSON HAVE AN IDEA.!
Liverpool v Man Utd - Monday Night Football, live on Sky Sports 1 HD from 7pm
I don't think Man Utd will be able to live with Liverpool's attacking players and if the hosts start quickly they will have too much at Anfield.

This is a huge game for Man Utd, though, because I'm predicting Arsenal, Chelsea, Man City and Tottenham all to win, and the gap could grow quickly. All the top teams are capable of stringing six wins together so you don't want to be playing catch-up this early.

I'm not sure Jose Mourinho knows his best team yet and he needs to get that sorted. They played well for 20 minutes against Stoke, but for a large part of that game they didn't look like scoring.

Considering the way Liverpool press high, I think Man Utd will struggle to open the game up.
    PAUL PREDICTS: 3-1

Lawro says home win and clean sheet.
Liverpool v Man Utd (20:00 BST)
Liverpool have made a very good start to the season, and their home form is particularly impressive.

They have only played Leicester and Hull at Anfield so far, but they have scored a total of nine goals and really swept both teams away.

It will be interesting to see how Manchester United cope with the Reds' gegenpressing because I think Liverpool have been the best team in the league without the ball this season - they are as good when they don't have possession as they are when they do.

I think United will struggle to deal with that. Quite often with these big games I go for a draw but on this occasion I fancy Liverpool.

I just think at the moment, with the way they are playing, with their pace and the speed of their passing, the Reds will have the edge.

    Lawro's prediction: 2-0

Ed's prediction: I fancy Liverpool at home. 3-1
