Long wait is nearly over. On Sunday Liverpool away to Stoke who humiliated them at the end of last season. Stoke 6: 1Liverpool. I do not know if the FA computer did this on purpose to put Brendan Rodgers under pressure because there are other kinder fixtures to start the season. My Prediction. Stoke 1:2Liverpool. No cricket score. Lawro predicted 1:1. Stoke v Liverpool (16:00 BST) Liverpool have made some good signings this summer. I have watched them in pre-season and they have impressed paying 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1. My biggest concern is they might be undercooked because of how the standard of opposition in those games compares with going to play Stoke. I've seen quite a bit of the Potters too, and they might just lack a bit of creativity at the moment. So you can forget a repeat of the 6-1 scoreline that Stoke enjoyed against the Reds on the final day of last season - this is going to be a much cagier encounter. Lawro's prediction: 1-1 Swann's prediction: Stoke always surprise people at home. They are very hard to play against. 1-0 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33793937
