After dumping the two Manchester clubs out of cup competitions, Liverpool away to Wolves tomorrow. They need to keep the momentum going to stand a chance of finishing in the top four this season.Luis Suarez is going to serve the last of his eight match ban.Wolves were not playing over the weekend and they are likely to be up for this game and cause Liverpool some problems. My prediction: Wolves 1:3 Liverpool. Didn't realize the games were midweek! I have to agree with MNS, it will be a step in the right direction to win at Wolves but our form in the league suggests we will probably slip up again.
Having cleared 1 point from the last 9 available, I cannot conceive of a situation where we'll have claimed 1 from 12. I therefore see this as a probable win by the odd goal, ending our winless run...
anyone noticed the i know the score league table hasnt worked for weeks, i was wondering is it going to be fixed soon, anyone know
Hopefully Kennys prematch talk will be the same as the post match talk at Bolton and the boys will come out fighting......Would like to see Shelvey play. Past form would suggest a slip up, but I hope not....Id take 1-0 to the pool
Lawro's verdict draw: 1:1 Wolves v Liverpool Given Liverpool's current form, Wolves have to look at a draw in this game as a point gained rather than two lost. Being in the relegation zone, Mick McCarthy's men would usually need to try and win all their home games but, against the top teams, getting anything is a good result. This is a tough game for Liverpool now, on the back of two excellent results in the Carling Cup and FA Cup against Manchester City and Manchester United. The Reds' performance against City was outstanding and really raised the bar, while against United I was really impressed by Andy Carroll, especially as he didn't exactly receive great service up front. Liverpool have been mentioned as one of the teams to have asked Manchester City about their out-of-favour striker Carlos Tevez - with Carroll supposedly going the other way in a swap deal - but I bet there have been loads of enquiries about the Argentina striker. I am sure clubs have been ringing up to find out what the score is, and whether they can get him on loan. When you hear that talks have broken down with AC Milan and Paris St Germain, then as a manager you would be daft not to make the call and see if you have got a chance. Kurt Angle says: "When Bully Ray showed the Steven Gerrard top in Manchester the crowd went crazy so I guess he must be a pretty good player. Gerrard will score the winner." Lawro's prediction: 1-1
If you were playing City, I would have you down for a 2-0 win! Alas for some reason you don't do well against crap teams. 1-1 would be my prediction for you lot
Bolton v Arsenal 2-3 Man Utd v Stoke 3-1 Sunderland v Norwich 2-2 Swansea v Chelsea 1-1 Tottenham v Wigan 3-0 Wolverhampton v Liverpool 1-2 Aston Villa v QPR 1-2 Blackburn v Newcastle 1-1 Everton v Man City 1-4 Fulham v West Brom 2-1
