Yesssssss, two lovely goals! I knew when Larsson was standing over it, it was going in! Hope no one at the game left early
Tbh TVI, even if we lost today, I would still have come out chuffed. We were playing some good attacking football, whipping in crosses, never stopping. We had 70% possession, blackburn didnt get a sniff at goal after theirs. I would have been gutted to have lost, but was full of hope and optimism after witnessing us playing like that. Samba and Robinson were playing really well, and Blackburn played some negative football in the second half. Thankfully our perseverance paid off. And what a win.
mon stated hat the team was low on confidence , coming from 1 nil down should help. We have been too defensive and the midfield was to far away from the strikers.Maybe now we will use the old adage "the best form of defence is attack" and maybe score more goals
It was squeeky bum time for me most of the game because it looked like another one of those games we dominate but come away with nothing. Fantastic strike for the first and lovely set piece for the second in a well deserved win although no doubt people will be pointing to their disallowed goal. To be honest at the time I was very partisan and I thought it was a foul but now I'm not so sure... All moot anyway and it was a deserved win - I hear we had 70% of the possession? It felt like 90% in the second half. HTL
Westwood made a mistake at that point, and luckily he got away with it cos Samba's such a massive unit. If it had gone 2-0 to them, it would have changed the game completely imo. Possibly deflated the lads a bit and made it harder to get back in to the game. Official stats put possession at about 67%... but as you said, it was more like 90% in the second half. The 10% to them was them taking goal kicks from our attempted shots.
